JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has called cricketers from all the districts of Jammu Division to take part in the selection process for upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Tournament beginning January 10.
As per the reports reaching here, those 25 boys from Jammu district shall take part in a match while other eight boys from each district shall be given a chance to prove their worth in nets at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here tomorrow. Since the JKCA remained disturbed in view of the ongoing court battle with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), those district presidents of the recently constituted district units have been asked to form the selection penal. Furthermore, those eight players from each district have been picked by the district units without holding any selection trials or matches, the insiders told.
Meanwhile, the JKCA approached a couple of senior cricketers to be part of the selection penal but all of them have refused to take any JKCA assignment.
