DYSS Miran Sahib trekking team leaves for Mansar

JAMMU: Organised by the Miran Sahib zone of Department of Youth Services and Sports, the five-day trekking activity on monday flagged for Mansar by the SDM R S Pura, Ram Lal in the presence of district (DYSS) officer, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The contingent, comprised of 100 boys and girl students, is accompanied by 15 officials and led by Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Miran Sahib, Rakesh Kakkar.
“The idea of trekkers and exposure to the students was brain child of the Director General (DG), DYSS, who wanted students to move out after staying back home for long due to the COVID pandemic,” informed ZPEO, Rakesh Kakkar.
During their stay, these students shall experience and learn about the flora and fauna of famous Mansar beside they shall also experience Rapping, Rope Climbing and take part in competitions like Tug of War.
