J&K boys outplay Andhra Pradesh, Haryana in 46th Sub-Junior National Volleyball C’ship

JAMMU: The J&K boys’ volleyball team delivered an outstanding performance at the 46th Sub-Junior National Volleyball Championship held at Polba. The prestigious event, organized in Hooghly from February 24 to March 1, 2026, witnessed remarkable talent from across the country.

In a dominant display, J&K defeated Andhra Pradesh in straight sets, registering a comprehensive 3-0 victory. The team secured the match with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, and 25-21. Continuing their impressive run, J&K also overcame Haryana in a thrilling five-set encounter. Showing immense determination and fighting spirit, the team won 3-2 with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-22, 15-25, and 15-08. The decisive fifth set highlighted their composure and mental strength under pressure.
Muzamil Ahmed, Fasil Ahmed, Sourav Verma, Tahir Ahmed, and Rehan Parvez with their excellent coordination, solid defense, and powerful smashes kept their opponents under constant pressure throughout the contest.
The twin victories reflect the hard work and dedication of the players under the guidance of Head Coach, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Manager Subash Shastri and team management.
