Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the poor condition of the road from Rudd Bridge to Panassa, Thakrakote Tehsil headquarters in District Reasi.
It is a matter of concern that during the recent visit of the Deputy Commissioner Reasi to Panassa the public grievances regarding this issue were not adequately addressed. The road from Rudd Bridge to Panassa is in a highly dilapidated condition, with several damaged stretches and deep trenches, making travelling extremely difficult and unsafe for the residents.
Moreover, the drains along the road are choked with mud and debris, leading to waterlogging and unhygienic conditions. The blacktopping of the road has been damaged at many places, further aggravating the problem. This road is a vital link for the local population and its poor condition has become one of the major problems faced by the community.
I, therefore, earnestly request the worthy Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, to take immediate and necessary action to address this long-pending issue in the interest of public safety and convenience.
