Santosh Trophy 2025 selection: Eight-member Enquiry Committee constituted

JAMMU: The government on Wednesday constituted eight seven-member committee to enquire into the process of selection of the team for participation in the 79th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy, 2025
“Sanction is accorded to the constitution of Enquiry Committee comprising of the eight officers to enquire into the process of selection of the team for participation in the 79th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy, 2025 so as to ascertain the factual position, in a time-bound manner,” read an order issued by Yasha Mudgal, Commissioner/ Secretary, Youth Services & Sports Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per order, the Enquiry Committee comprised of Anuradha Gupta, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, J&K; Mansoor Aslam Chowdhary, Special Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Civil Secretariat, Jammu; Manoj Prabhakar, Joint Controller, Legal Metrology Department, J&K; Megha Bougia, Dy. Director Planning/ Activities, Directorate of Youth Service and Sports Department; Satpaul Sinqh, Ex-Divisional Sports Officer/ Ex-Chief Coach; Bilal Rasool Parray, PET, District Budgam; and Two former National Level Footballers (one each from Kashmir & Jammu). Director General, Youth Services & Sports shall co-opt two former National-level Footballers, one each from Kashmir and Jammu regions.
As per the terms of reference of the Committee shall enquire in depth the process that has been followed in selection of the team; submit its recommendations on the basis of findings post enquiry. The Committee shall submit its report within seven days and Inputs/comments from general public shall be facilitated by meeting the Committee on notified three days in Jammu and three days in Srinagar.
