J&K Govt wakes up, opens account for flood relief
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has opened a bank account for receiving donations for the flood hit victims in the State under the title of ‘Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund, J&K’.
Interested people of the country are requested to deposit their donations in any branch of J&K Bank in the following Account No.0110040100001275; IFSC Code JAKAO MOVING.
The money raised thereby and received into this special account will be solely devoted to relief and rehabilitation of the victims of the terrible floods that have hit the state, at least 10 of its 22 districts. It bears mention here that the civil administration has virtually collapsed. In fact, the rescue efforts are being led by the Indian armed forces, and volunteers.
At this juncture, there are heroic tales of locals coming to one another’s aid in this hour of crisis pouring in by the hour.
