A Day of Gratitude, Reverence and Inspiration: Teachers’ Day celebrated at JKPS Kunjwani

JAMMU: JK Public School, Kunjwani celebrated Teacher’s Day with Zeal, Creativity, and Gratitude.
Due to natural calamities, including floods and cloudbursts that had disrupted normal school functioning, students were unable to celebrate the occasion on 5th September, and the program was postponed. Despite the challenges, the celebration turned into a memorable and heartwarming tribute to teachers, highlighting the resilience and togetherness of the school community.
The day began with the lighting of ceremonial candles by the Director, Principal, Vice Principal, and Coordinators, paying homage to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and his invaluable contribution to the teaching profession. This symbolic gesture set the tone for a day filled with respect, gratitude, and celebration of the teacher-student bond.
The event was graced by the esteemed dignitaries, Director JK Educational Society, Shashi Chaudhary; Principal, JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore; Vice Principal, Roopinder Kour; School Coordinator, Inderjeet Kour; Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kour, Primary wing Coordinator Anju Raj and Toddlers’ World Coordinator Shivangani.
Their presence, along with the entire teaching fraternity of JK Public School Kunjwani, added immense value to the occasion and inspired students to celebrate the day with greater zeal and sincerity Students of Class XII brought the event to life by stepping into the shoes of their mentors, imitating their teaching styles, classroom mannerisms, and personalities with humour and affection. Their performances filled the campus with laughter and admiration, as teachers watched their students’ portrayals with pride. As a unique gesture, students also presented creative titles to teachers, highlighting their values, personalities, and teaching philosophies, a heartfelt acknowledgment of the guiding light teachers bring into their lives. The Girls of class XII expressed their gratitude to their teachers with their splendid dance performance. To add the charm, students mesmerized the gathering with their mellifluous singing.
Director Shashi Chaudhary addressed the gathering with her words of wisdom. She inspired the gathering by emphasizing that teaching is one of the noblest professions, as it nurtures every other profession. She encouraged students to show respect not just through words but by following discipline, sincerity, and dedication in their daily lives, thereby truly honouring their teachers.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the faculty, and students in making the event a resounding success despite the recent adversities. The day stood as a testimony to the school’s spirit of learning, resilience, and togetherness, reinforcing the bond between teachers and students that lies at the heart of JK Public School, Kunjwani.
