Celebrating Integrity and Innovation: SCERT congratulates Shantmanu, showcases multilingual ‘Udaan’

JAMMU: An interactive session with Shantmanu, Financial Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary, and Director, JKSCERT, Jammu and Kashmir, was held on Thursday at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Jammu.

The SCERT faculty felicitated Shantmanu (IAS) on being conferred with the prestigious Chief Minister’s Award for Honesty, Integrity, and Meritorious Public Service on Independence Day 2025, terming it a proud and inspirational moment for the entire education fraternity.
Addressing the staff, Shantmanu expressed gratitude for the gesture and urged the team to uphold the values of integrity and accountability in their professional conduct, and to discharge their duties with dedication, sincerity, and a strong commitment towards quality education.
On the occasion, he also appreciated and congratulated the Multilingual Education Cell (MEC) of SCERT Jammu for the successful unveiling of the multilingual children’s material ‘Udaan: Bhasha ke Rang, Shiksha ke Sang’ during the One-Day Educational Stakeholders’ Conclave on NEP-2020, held recently at SKICC, Srinagar. The initiative was unveiled by the Chief Minister in the presence of the Education Minister and other dignitaries, marking a significant milestone in promoting multilingual inclusive and contextualized education for the foundational stage.
During the programme, a copy of ‘Udaan’ was also presented to Shantmanu by the SCERT faculty as a token of pride.
In her concluding remarks, Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director, SCERT Jammu Division, highlighted the inspirational nature of the interaction and proposed a formal vote of thanks. The proceedings were moderated by Monica Sharma.
