JAMMU: As part of the grand 79th Independence Day celebrations, JK Public School, Kunjwani organised an inspiring Inter-House Patriotic Group Song Competition on Monday, filling the campus with the soulful spirit of nationalism and the melody of musical excellence.

The event was graced by Shashi Chaudhary, Director, JK Educational Society; Rajesh Rathore, Principal JKPS Kunjwani; Vice Principal, Roopinder Kour along with an enthusiastic gathering of teachers and students.
The competition was aimed at kindling national pride among students while providing them a platform to showcase their musical talent. Participants from the four houses – Tilak, Tagore, Bhagat Singh and Radhakrishnan – set the stage ablaze with their vibrant performances, each rendition echoing their unwavering love for the motherland.
The auditorium came alive as the powerful strains of patriotic songs celebrated India’s freedom struggle, cultural richness, and unity in diversity. Melodious harmonies and timeless classics, imbued with deep emotion, left the audience spellbound.
Addressing the gathering, Chaudhary congratulated all participants for their spirited performances, noting that the event was not merely a competition, but a heartfelt tribute to the nation and the countless sacrifices of brave freedom fighters. She lauded the Music Department for their exceptional selection of songs and meticulous preparation of each house team, remarking, “These patriotic songs are the soul of those valiant warriors who laid down their lives for our motherland. They ignite freedom not just in our hearts but also in our minds.”
The contest witnessed intense competition, with the Third Position secured by Tagore House, the Second Position by Tilak House, and the Championship claimed by Radhakrishnan House for their impeccable song selection, synchronisation, and stage presence. The announcement of results was met with thunderous applause and jubilant cheers from the student body.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem, leaving every heart brimming with renewed patriotism and pride for India.
