JAMMU: “Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward”. With this impactful statement Kritika Sharma from Grade IX C conducted the morning assembly alongwith her classmates on the topic ‘Self Love’ at JK Public School Kunjwani.

“Self love is the gentle art of honouring one’s own well-being, embracing self-acceptance, and nurturing inner happiness. It reminds us that caring for ourselves is not an act of selfishness, but a vital foundation for personal growth and meaningful relationships”, she added.
The baton was further taken by Aradhya and she added, “To love oneself is to pause, breathe deeply, and allow space to simply be. It’s not about turning away or being unkind-it’s about choosing serenity amid the chaos of the day. Self-love fortifies the heart, offering strength in silence. It isn’t about being the first or the finest; it’s about gifting your mind the rest it deserves”.
Adding more substance to the deliberations, Aaradhya Bamba pitched in and stated, “Self love means accepting who we are. It means respecting our boundaries, caring for our mental well-being and not depending on others for validations. Many mistake it for arrogance though it is not; it is about knowing you are enough”.
“When we love ourselves, we become stronger, kinder and more capable of giving love to others too; because, love that starts within is the most sincere of all”, she concluded.
Arnav Khajuria recited a short yet impactful poem on the topic ‘Self Love’:
Breathe in peace, let go fear,
You are whole, now and here.
Scars stay on, yet so does grace,
Shine your light, find your place.
Whisper soft when you’re low,
Let your quiet courage grow.
Own your path, come what may,
Love yourself more each day.
