PARIS: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Engineer Ghulam Ali Khatana launched a fierce attack on Pakistan, accusing it of state-sponsored terrorism and defaming Islam on the global stage.
Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Paris, Khatana didn’t mince words as he accused the neighbouring country of orchestrating violence across borders while portraying itself as a victim. “We are here to tell the world-we respect our neighbour, we want their progress, but we cannot afford the killing of innocent citizens. If they send a bullet, we will fire a bomb. There is zero tolerance. Anything that happens from the side of Pakistan will be considered an act of war,” Khatana declared.
Reaffirming India’s robust stance on national security, the BJP MP asserted, “If a single bullet comes from their side, we will retaliate with shells. Pakistan must understand that India is an atomic power. We will not be blackmailed.”
Khatana accused Pakistan of inflicting the greatest damage on the image of Islam, stating that its actions have globally distorted the religion’s message of peace.
“Pakistan has damaged Islam more than anyone else. Its true character is far from humanity. It is very important to tell the world what Pakistan is doing-this is state-sponsored terrorism,” he said. Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic outreach, Khatana praised the initiative of sending MPs and senior officials across the world to present India’s perspective on Pakistan’s alleged involvement in terrorism. “The Prime Minister has taken an excellent decision to send Indian representatives to expose Pakistan’s role in promoting terror and misrepresenting Islam,” he added. Khatana also hinted at stronger measures if provocations continue from across the border. “Let’s give it 15 days. After that, there will be further action. Pakistan should stop taking us lightly,” he warned, signaling a potentially tougher diplomatic or military response if ceasefire violations persist.
