KUPWARA: Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan on Tuesday visited Kupwara district to assess the transport sector and address grievances of locals and transporters. During interactions, he assured timely redressal of their concerns. A key issue discussed was land allocation for the ARTO Office and a dedicated driving test trial ground, which Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan confirmed has been identified and will be transferred to the Motor Vehicles Department on priority. Later, the Commissioner held discussions at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on transport-related issues. Speaking to media, he emphasized the department’s focus on digitising services to reduce the need for physical visits, aiming to improve efficiency and convenience for the public.
