JAMMU: Martyrs’ Day was observed with profound reverence and patriotism at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi.

Jakiians solemnly paid tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices made by Mahatma Gandhi and the countless unsung heroes who gave their lives in the service of the nation on January 30.
Aditi Jain and Deepali Sharma, the teacher incharges of the day addressed the audience and expressed, “The significance of Martyr’s Day is that it helps us to understand the value of freedom and the sacrifices that were made by our ancestors to attain it. The day is a reminder that we should never take our freedom for granted and must always strive to protect it. It inspires us to be patriotic and work towards the betterment of our country. The day is a symbol of unity and pride for the nation.”
Jakiians presented a thought-provoking skit on Mahatma Gandhi and his principles, reinforcing the ideals of non-violence, truth, and compassion.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah expressed, “Martyrs’ Day emphasises the value of freedom, patriotism, and the nation’s great appreciation for those who fought for its independence.”
Jakiians remembered the Bravehearts who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom. The principal rewarded each participant and teacher incharges for expressing their thoughts and views flawlessly. Their confidence and enthusiasm stole the show.
The Principal further asked few questions regarding the day and the winners were also rewarded.
