JAMMU: Carrying forward the drive against cheaters and fraudsters, Special Crime Wing (SCW) of Crime Branch Jammu on Tuesday filed a charge-sheet against one habitual offender namely Jameel Anjum Mir, son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of H.No. 45, Naraina Mohalla, Pacca Danga, Jammu, in a fraud and cheating case.
Giving details of the case, SSP Special Crime Wing Jammu, Sanjay Parihar said that a written complaint was lodged at Police Station SCW Jammu regarding a fake selection-cum-appointment order issued by one of the government departments, adding that the order was completely fake and forged, without any number and date, likely to have been framed with malafide intention to dupe the gullible youth, maligning the image of the department.
“On receiving the complaint, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Special Crime Wing Jammu against unknown accused persons and was entrusted to Inspector Rajesh Kumar for in-depth investigation,” Parihar said.
“After, a thorough and professional investigation by the I/O, the case was finally proved against the accused person namely Jameel Anjum Mir, son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of H.No. 45 Naraina Mohalla Pacca Danga, Jammu and the offences under Sections 419, 420, 465, 468/IPC got established against him,” SSP Special Crime said adding that a team of Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Jammu today produced the accused before Court of Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu and presented charge-sheet against him for judicial determination.
Pertinently, Parihar said, the accused is a habitual offender against whom seven more cases are already registered in Crime Branch and other Police Stations of Jammu, in addition to this case, which has been challaned today.
