ADGP Jammu reviews Traffic Scenario, iRAD Status in Jammu Zone

JAMMU: A high-level meeting was chaired by Anand Jain, Addl. DGP Jammu, to review the overall traffic situation in Jammu and the progress of the Integrated Road Accident Data Base (iRAD).
The meeting was attended by M. Suleman Choudhary, IGP Traffic J&K, all DIGP of Jammu Zone, District SSPs of Jammu Zone, and Traffic SSPs.
M. Suleman Choudhary, IGP Traffic, provided a detailed briefing on the current traffic scenario, accident trends, and the significance of the iRAD system.
He emphasized the need for timely and accurate data entry into the iRAD portal, which is crucial for analyzing accident patterns and developing preventive measures.
The iRAD system, which records road accidents and their causes, is a key tool for improving road safety. IGP Traffic J&K urged the officers to upload all pending accident details into the iRAD system within the next 4 to 5 days. He explained that data-driven strategies would help in minimizing accidents and improving traffic management.
Addl.DGP Jammu, Anand Jain, stressed the importance of the iRAD system in creating a comprehensive database for accident analysis. He directed all SSsP of Jammu to ensure timely compliance with the data uploading process. The Addl.DGP also announced that a monthly review meeting would be held to monitor progress and ensure continuous improvements in road safety efforts.
This initiative, led by Jammu Police, aims to reduce road accidents, enhance traffic management, and improve public safety across the Jammu region.
