Green Warriors from JK Public School Kunjwani visit Flower Show at SKUAST Jammu

JAMMU: The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-Jammu) hosted a mesmerizing Flower Show at its Main Campus, Chatha, as part of the National Agriculture Summit.
An enthusiastic group of 40 students from JK Public School, Kunjwani, members of MS Swaminathan Club of Green Warriors along with their teachers in-charge Sheetal Bharti and Aditi visited the flower show. The event showcased an impressive array of floral displays, drawing admiration from visitors.
The Flower Show featured vibrant categories such as Cut Flowers, Bonsai, Cacti and Succulents, Pot Plants, Foliage Plants, Dry Flowers, Floral Rangoli, and Flower Arrangements. Each exhibit was a testament to the creativity and expertise of the participants, making the event a visual treat for all attendees.

The students from JK Public School actively explored the displays, marveling at the diversity and artistry presented. They expressed deep appreciation for the effort and innovation that went into the exhibits. The visit provided the young learners with an opportunity to connect with nature and understand the importance of floriculture in preserving biodiversity and enhancing environmental beauty.
Speaking about the experience, the students shared, “It was an inspiring and educational visit. The floral displays were beautiful, and we learned so much about different plants and their significance.”
The Principal, Rajesh Rathore, praised the initiative and said, “such visits are crucial in developing a sense of environmental awareness and appreciation for nature among students”.
“The event was an enriching experience for students that aimed to inspire the younger generation to appreciate and engage with nature. The Flower Show left a profound impression on the students, who returned with cherished memories and newfound knowledge about the world of plants and flowers”, he concluded.
