JAMMU: “As we navigate the complexities of the 21st Century, it is crucial to recognize the significance of acquiring skills that complement our academic pursuits”. With this opening statement, the lead presenter of the School Assembly from Grade 10C Shraddha Mahajan conducted the assembly on the topic “Skill acquisition in today’s ever-evolving competitive world”.

The topic was further substantiated by Gunvika by saying “Acquiring skills enhances employability, boosts confidence, fosters innovation and develops problems solving abilities. It equips individuals with specialized knowledge, enabling them to adapt to the changing industry demands. On the other hand, high studies offer specialization, research opportunities and networking. Universities and institutions provide a platform for intellectual exploration, critical thinking and creativity. Pursuing higher education enhances career prospects, increases earning potential and fosters personal growth”.
Reinforcing the reflections further, another brilliant student Anandi pitched in. She stated, “As Nelson Mandela aptly stated, education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world. In this rapidly evolving world, where technological advancements and globalization are reshaping industries, the workforce demands adaptability, creativity and expertise. Thus, acquiring skills and pursuing higher education becomes essential for staying ahead”.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore applauded the presenters of the morning assembly for drawing the attention of the audience towards the topic of utmost importance. He reflected his views on various aspects of the topic. He said, “Skill acquisition and higher studies are vital for industrial and societal success. By investing in these areas, we can unlock our potential, drive innovation and contribute to a brighter future. Let’s prioritize our skill acquisition programme and provide a wider exposure to students regarding the gamut of career choices available today”.
Appealing the teachers, he concluded, “Kindly focus on the CV profiling of students on the rolls of our Institution, right from Grade 6 onwards, in the same way, as witnessed in the top Business Schools of our country for their MBA students. Class Teachers must record the achievements of students on various parameters, such as, Academics, Co-curricular activities, Sports activities, Language proficiency, Personality development skills, Soft skills, Online Skill building programmes & Short-Term Certificate courses during Summer/ Winter break”.
