JAMMU: The SCERT J&K Divisional Office Jammu organized a three-day workshop from October 28 to 30, 2024, focused on empowering educators and coordinators from the 10 DIETs of Jammu Division.
This initiative aligns with SCERT’s vision of enhancing digital learning resources across Jammu and Kashmir by equipping DIET representatives with the expertise to create high-quality content, structured courses, and engaging quizzes.
The workshop was focussed on developing online courses and uploading of e-content on the DIKSHA platform.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director, SCERT Divisional Office Jammu, who emphasized the role of digital education in creating equitable learning opportunities.
She highlighted SCERT’s commitment to making high-quality, accessible resources available to students across Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring the transformative potential of digital platforms like DIKSHA.
Hands-on sessions were led by resource persons Vivek Jandial, DIKSHA Technical Coordinator, SCERT Jammu, and Anil Sharma, DIKSHA Academic Coordinator, SCERT Jammu.
They guided participants through the technical and pedagogical aspects of e-content creation and course design. Key objectives of the workshop included developing structured, high-quality online courses for DIKSHA, streamlining the process of e-content uploading, and fostering a culture of digital content creation that aligns with national standards for digital learning.
A special focus was placed on equipping participants with skills for quiz development and enhancing interactive engagement in learning.
As a significant outcome of the workshop, each of the 10 DIETs successfully crafted and launched a quiz on DIKSHA, guided by the SCERT team.
These quizzes, tailored for students, teachers, and heads of institutions across Jammu Division, were launched by Joint Director Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor during the valedictory function. Focused on local knowledge and history, the quizzes serve as valuable digital resources, advancing SCERT’s mission to leverage technology in promoting regional education and fostering a deeper connection with local culture and heritage.
