J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament concludes, Arnia team emerges victorious

JAMMU: The thrilling final of the Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament was held today at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu, with team Arnia triumphing over team Parghwal in a gripping 2-0 win. The tournament, which commenced on 25th October, saw eight teams competing for the final trophy, showcasing exceptional sportsmanship and talent. SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh was Chief Guest on the occasion. SP Hqrs Jammu Irshad H Rather and IC DySP DAR Virender Gupta also witnessed the final match besides good number of police officers/officials as well as civilian team supporters. Team Arnia, the champions, received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10,000, while the runner-up, team Pargwal, was awarded a trophy and Rs 5,000. Each member of the winning and runner-up teams was presented with certificates and volleyball uniforms, adding to the spirit of camaraderie. Referees were also recognized for their excellent officiating, receiving mementos.
The prizes were distributed by SSP Jammu, who praised the players’ dedication, resilience and team spirit. This event highlighted the unwavering support and respect for the sacrifices made by the police martyrs.
