Krishan Lal crowned 24th Mr Jammu and Fitness Champion

JAMMU: Krishan Lal emerged as the Champion of Champions at the 24th Jammu and Fitness Championship, organized by the Body Building Association of Jammu and Kashmir (BBAJK) in collaboration with the J&K State Sports Council. The event, held at the Police Auditorium, Gulshan Ground, attracted around 90 bodybuilders competing in various weight categories.
The championship was inaugurated by Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, along with Dushyant Sharma, President, and Secretary of the J&K Olympic Association, and Arun Kumar Sharma, President of BBAJK. Other dignitaries present included Rajesh Dutta, Er. Sureshest Dutta, and Vinay Sharma, who contributed to the event’s success.

Dr. Ashutosh Sharma praised the BBAJK for its achievements at national and international levels and urged the youth to steer clear of drugs, echoing the rallying cry “Say No to Drugs” as a vital part of nation-building. Dushyant, serving as the guest of honor, emphasized the importance of sports in the holistic development of youth, noting its role in enhancing both physical fitness and mental well-being.
Arun Sharma extended congratulations to the BBAJK members, particularly Rajesh Dutta, for their commitment to engaging youth in healthy activities and steering them away from drug use. Rajesh Dutta acknowledged the efforts of the Body Building Association in organizing such impactful events, highlighting their role in providing a platform for youth to showcase their fitness and skills. He also urged the young audience to invest their energy positively and avoid anti-social activities.
Er. Sureshest Dutta, Vice President of BBAJK, reiterated the association’s commitment to hosting regular competitions to minimize youth involvement with drugs. The event was well-attended by officials, including Vinay Sharma, Sanjay Bali, Naresh Gupta, and Noor Mohd., Principal of Doon Kids School, alongside prominent judges such as Monu Sabarwal and Ashok Rana. The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Vinay Sharma, who expressed gratitude to all participants and dignitaries for their contributions to making the championship a grand success. With growing interest and participation, this championship not only showcased exceptional talent but also fostered a culture of fitness and well-being in Jammu and Kashmir.
In the final results, Krishan Lal not only won his category but also claimed the Champion of Champions title.
