JAMMU: The journey of completion of 77 years of merger of Jammu and Kashmir to India has been full of disappointments. A part of Jammu and Kashmir (PoK) is still under the control of Pakistan and a part of Ladakh (Aksai Chin) is under the control of China.
At the same time, the rulers of the Center and Jammu and Kashmir have also exploited the people and resources of Jammu and Kashmir fiercely. Wake up, there is still time, do not let your rights be violated, stated by Manish Sahni, President, Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit.
Today, on the occasion of the Accession Day of (Jammu and Kashmir) with India, Sahni, while talking to media persons in the party’s state central office, said that the history of 77 years of merger has been full of disappointments. Jammu and Kashmir, called the crown of the country, has been exploited fiercely by the rulers.
On the other hand, the neighboring country Pakistan has never liked peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
For the last three and a half decades, the people of the state have been facing the brunt of terrorism.
For almost the same number of years, Kashmiri migrants have been living the life of refugees in their own country and state. On the other hand, in August 2019, this crown of the country was split into two parts and its state status was taken away.
After about 10 years, the democratic process has been restored in Jammu and Kashmir after the directions of the High Court. Amendments in the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act have reduced the jurisdiction of the people’s elected government and increased the jurisdiction of the nominated Lieutenant Governor.
The cadre was taken away from Jammu and Kashmir, the police force was brought under the Union Home Ministry. Along with our cultural identity, the participation of outsiders in business and educational institutions is increasing day by day.
In the name of development of road and rail routes, the Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Yatra was left half-finished.
Sahni, while appealed to the people to join him, said that the Shiv Sainiks have pledged to save the identity of Jammu-Kashmir along with its cultural and to restore the rights of the people.
