JAMMU: The Senior Taekwondo team of Jammu and Kashmir today left for participation in the 40th National Senior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship and 13th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, scheduled to be held from October 17 to 20 at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Puducherry.
Before departure, the team underwent screening which was conducted by the Sports Officer of J&K Sports Council (JKSC), Baljinder Pal Singh and Sahil Sharma, a handout issued by the Association informed.
President of the J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA), Rajesh Pangotra wished the team success in the National event. Ramesh Chander Sharma, general secretary further motivated the team with words of encouragement.
The Team: MEN: Shoib Khan, Vansh Rakhwal, Mohit Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Zaid Khan, Narayan Sharma, Achutam Dev Singh, Adnan Adfar, Gaurav Attri, Amit Kumar, Amandeep, Shubam Bagal, Burhan Ud Din Khan.
WOMEN: Tanvi Katal, Gunjan Kumari Bhardwaj, Adeeba Khursheed, Tabasum Nusrat Ali, Azmat Khan, Afreen Hyder, Jagpreet Kour.
