JAMMU: The Taekwondo Association of District Jammu is excited to announce the 27th District Jammu Taekwondo Championships 2024-25, to be held on October 28-29, 2024, at the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. This event is organized under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd) and the J&K Sports Council, themed “My Youth My Pride.” The championships are open to all Sub Junior, Cadet, Junior, and Senior players from District Jammu. Selected athletes will have the opportunity to represent District Jammu in the upcoming 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2024-25.
To qualify for the J&K UT Championships, only medalists from this event will be eligible. Additionally, all athletes must possess a valid JKTA Athlete License to participate; entries without this license will not be accepted. Senior athletes are also required to present their Black Belt Certificates as per the guidelines set by the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI). This decision was reached unanimously by the office bearers of the Taekwondo Association of District Jammu during a meeting led by the President of the Association. All participants are advised to report to the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu on October 27, 2024, at 5:00 PM sharp for weigh-in. Athletes must bring their completed registration forms, signed by their parents, along with their Aadhaar Card, JKTA License, and Date of Birth certificate issued by the Municipality of Jammu or the concerned Sarpanch of their village.
