Dr. Jasrotia calls on J&K voters to ensure victory for Bharat, not Islamabad

JAMMU: Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia, the BJP Spokesperson, has termed the upcoming Jammu & Kashmir elections as a “decisive moment” for the future of the region and the nation. Drawing a parallel to the intense anticipation of an India-Pakistan cricket match, Dr. Jasrotia emphasized the national importance of these elections, urging every citizen to ensure J&K’s victory in India’s democratic framework.
He hailed the abrogation of Article 370 as a landmark step that has paved the way for equality, justice, and development in Jammu & Kashmir. He highlighted the historical injustice faced by the Dogra community of Jammu, dating back to the Nehru-Sheikh alliance, which, according to him, disproportionately favored Kashmir over Jammu. “For decades, Jammu was sidelined, and the rightful demands of its people were ignored,” Dr. Jasrotia said, recalling how even prominent leaders like Prem Nath Dogra were denied their due recognition.
The BJP spokesperson issued a strong warning about the involvement of external forces in the region’s politics, pointing to recent statements by Pakistan’s defense minister, which he claimed aligned with certain elements in the political landscape. Dr. Jasrotia described this as a matter of “national pride and security,” framing the elections as a battle for the “soul of Jammu & Kashmir and India.”
He concluded with a clarion call for the people of J&K to ensure that the victory celebrations take place in Delhi, signifying progress for India, rather than in Islamabad. “The responsibility lies with every voter in J&K to make this election a win for democracy, peace, and development,” he said, quoting the patriotic sentiment, “Sare Jahan Se Accha, Hindustan Humara.”
