Nisar of JKP lifts Sujandhar Kesari Dangal title

KATRA: Wrestler Nisar of J&K Police and a resident of district Doda lifted 54th annual Sujandhar Dangal title by defeating wrestler Babba of Kot Bhawal, Jammu in the main bout that lasted for 20 minutes at Village Sujandhar in, Bhomag.
Winner Nisar got a cash award of Rs 31,000 while runners-up Babba received Rs. 20,000 prize money from the organisers. Dangal was organized by Shri Nag Devta Mela and Dangal Committee Sujandhar under the overall supervision of Prem Singh (chairman), Darvinder Singh (general secretary) and Tej Singh (ex- Sarpanch).
In the second main bout, Anil of Kalka Akhara Reasi defeated Baljeet of Dera Nanak in Punjab. Winner Anil awarded with Rs.18,000 and Baljeet got Rs. 13,000. The third main bout won by Maam Hussain (RS 15,000) of Domel who defeated Yuv Raj (Rs 10,000) of Akhnoor.
The fourth bout fought between Madan Singh of Roun Domel Akhara and
Jarnail Singh of Kalika Mandir Akhara Reasi ended in a draw. Both the wrestlers awarded with cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
Former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest, who presented the cash prizes to the wrestlers. The event was presided over by Shiv Kumar Sharma, former Joint Secretary of J&K State Sports Council and president of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
The DDC chairman Reasi and Senior Saraf Singh Naag was the guest of honour. Thakur Sohan Singh, Former Sarpanch BDC Ashok Singh, Thakur Amar Nath, Pawan Singh and social activist Bhuri Singh were present on the occasion.
In total, 53 bouts conducted during the day-long event cash prizes worth Rs. Four lakh distributed among the wrestlers.
Dangal was organized in support with committee members, including Prem Singh (Chairman), Darvinder Singh General Secretary, Tej Singh, Ram Singh, Balwan Singh Naag, Vakil Singh, Krpa Ram, Advocate Ajit Singh, Budhi Singh, Chamail Singh, Surjeet Singh, Rajat Singh, Kesar Singh, Govind Singh, Karnail Singh, Bharat Singh, Harnam Singh, Gurdev Singh, Vijay Singh, Tota Ram (Numberdar), Shatter Singh, Heem Raj, Romesh Singh, Romail Singh, Tikka Chand, Hukam Singh and Mukhtyar Singh.
The bouts officiated by Mohd. Nazir, Pawan Singh, Kartar Singh, Sunny Sharma (Air Tel) and Vijay Singh. Proceeding were conducted by Anil Kumnar of Reasi and Prabhat Singh of Kalakot.
