4th Guru Hargobind Sahib Memorial Tournament

SRINAGAR: JK Police Hockey shall meet Kanpur Hockey Club in the final of the ongoing 4rth Guru Hargobind Sahib Memorial Tournament being held at Polo Ground Hockey Astrotruf, here tomorrow at 4.30 PM.
Earlier in first semi final played on Thursday, J&K Police thrashed Rampur Hockey Club (UP) with six goals to nil. Balvinder Singh, renowned RTI activist and Vice President DGPC Jammu was the Chief Guest of the match while Jaspal Singh President GPC Srinagar and Gurmit Singh Treasurer GPC were the Guests of Honour.
In the second semi-final. Kanpur Hockey Club drubbed Pooch Hockey Club by six goals to one. Sarbjit Singh, Joint Secretary J&K Board of School Education was the Chief Guest and Iqbal Singh former Hockey Player was the Guest of Honour in this match.
The tournament is being organized by Kashmir Hockey Academy in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the guidance of Chief organizer Ravinder Pal Singh and his team.
Both the semifinals were supervised by Rajbir Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Angat Singh and Jatinder Singh.
Ajit Pal Singh (Olympian) Padma Shree, Arjun Awardee & former Captain Indian Hockey Team will be the Chief Guest in the final match.
Other prominent persons present were Dr Hartej Singh, S Manmohan Singh, S Jai Pal Singh, S Kuldeep Singh, S Daljit Singh Retd Chief Engineer, S Gurdeep Singh, S T.P Singh, S Janak Singh, S Jasbir Singh etc.
