Inter-district Divisional competitions of DYSS

RAJOURI: District Ramban and Kathua made it a winning start in the inter-district divisional level under-14 boys Volleyball tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Mini Stadium, here on Monday. In the opening tie, Kathua defeated Udhampur 3-0 while Ramban outplayed district Doda in similar fashions 3-0 to advance into the next round. In total, nine districts of the division are participating in this two-day knock-out event.
The event was declared open by chief guest, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, Raj Kumar Thapa in the presence of district (DYSS) officer Rajouri, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The Chief Guest encouraged the participants and appreciated the DYSS for making Rajouri as venue for the Volleyball tournament. He mentioned that Rajouri has got exceptional interest and talent in the game of Volleyball.
