IIM Jammu inaugurates ninth batch of CBP

JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, in collaboration with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce (DICCI) and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), GoI, inaugurated the Ninth Batch of its Capacity Building Program (CBP) on Small Business Development Units (SBDUs) at the Jagti Campus.
The ninth batch consists of 32 participants from across the country, including individuals from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics at IIM Jammu, Dr. Mahesh Gadekar, Chairperson of the Centre for Small Business Development Units (SBDU), Dr. Anuja Akhouri, Program Director at IIM Jammu, and Dr. Jaganth G, Program Director at IIM Jammu. Dr. Mahesh Gadekar provided an insightful overview of the program, emphasizing its role in building a robust business ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. He highlighted the achievements of previous batches and IIM Jammu’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial growth. Prof. Jabir Ali encouraged participants to actively engage, address challenges, and enhance value chains with expert guidance.
The inaugural session featured participant introductions, providing a glimpse into their diverse backgrounds and goals.
Dr. Anuja Akhouri delivered the vote of thanks and outlined the upcoming sessions. The event concluded with the national anthem, reflecting unity and collective aspirations. The ceremony was coordinated by the SBDU Team at IIM Jammu, setting the stage for transformative entrepreneurial growth.
