JKPSA condemns statement of JKBOSE officials

JAMMU: Members of central body of the Jammu & Kashmir Private Schools Association (JKPSA), Jammu condemned the statement issued by the officials of the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
Members present in the meeting have shown online status of their schools in their laptops.
They said that they have uploaded their files in the portals designed by the departments of School Education Department for the approval of their managing committee, recognition and affiliation before the expiry of their essential documents which are needed for the affiliation / recognition.
They said till date the status of their schools has been placed in the de-affiliated/ pending category by the JKBOSE. All officials in the JKBOSE are misleading the government, Private schools and the parents.
Initially, in 2022 and 2023 officials in the JKBOSE tagged the most of the students of class 9th to 12th of private schools which are even constructed in the proprietary land with the nearby government school despite of uploading all formalities. JKBOSE has failed to hold in time affiliation meetings.
Such type of draconian act by JKBOSE for the schools are functioning for more than three decades on own land or in rented building highly condemnable.
Above all JKBOSE has circulated notification of migration / eligibility on 07/06/2024 vide notification F (Acad-C) ISM-Eligibility/E-7486349/2024with a normal fee till July 10, 2024.
Due to the non availability of online access to the schools authorities, they are hapless to upload or to approve migration/eligibility of all such students who want to migrate or who want to seek admission in other schools.
General Secretary Sat Paul Mansotra said that government has granted recognition to the school till ending March 2027, 2028, 2029 but JKBOSE is reluctant to grant affiliation on the basis of recognition.
Ajay Gupta on behalf all such schools whose portal are still closed by the JKBOSE without any fault at their part appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to intervene to save this venture from harassment and exploitation.
Those who spoke in the press conference included Deepak Handa (Sr. Vice President), Ajay Singh, Sanjeev Luthra, Gaurav Charak, Dr. Madan Mohan, Vineet Gupta, Vishal Singh, Rajat Kesar, Deep Dayal, Shabir Malik, Naresh Kumar, Romesh Gupta, Bodh Raj, Rajeev Jasrotia, Vishal Jamwal, Thomas Omman and Laddi Sharma.
