JAMMU: A pilgrim namely Omesh Khadiq, son of Raghubir Khadiq, resident of Guna, Madhya Pradesh left his bag containing Rs 45,000 and documents near X-ray baggage scanner point at Bhagwati Nagar Base camp.
SgCt Raj Kumar (377/4th Sec) (ARP No 016454) who was deployed at the point found the bag and informed his supervisory officer. The pilgrim was located on the basis of documents available in the bag. The bag along with cash/other documents were handed over the pilgrim. Many pilgrims have eulogized the act of integrity and honesty displayed by the Police official.
SSP Security Jammu has appreciated the act of SgCt Raj Kumar awarded him with a commendation certificate and cash reward so as to boost his morale and others to emulate.
