JAMMU: Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP Vice President and Priya Sethi, National Executive Member BJP and former Minister today inaugurated a Langar for the visiting devotees of the Amarnath Yatra at Tirupati Balaji Temple, in Majeen area on the outskirts of Jammu. The Langar has been organized by the Jai Amarnath Langar Sewa Samiti and will continue to serve devotees till the last day of the Amarnath Yatra.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that the Amarnath Yatra holds immense significance, both spiritually and culturally. This annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave in Jammu and Kashmir is one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism, attracting thousands of devotees from around the world. The journey to the cave, which houses a naturally formed ice lingam representing Lord Shiva, is considered a test of faith and endurance. The Yatra not only reinforces the spiritual beliefs of the pilgrims but also fosters a sense of unity, as people from diverse backgrounds come together to undertake this sacred journey. The senior BJP leader praised the efforts of the Jai Amarnath Langar Sewa Samiti for their selfless service and dedication to the pilgrims. He stated, “The Langar serves as a testament to our tradition of serving humanity. It is heartening to see the community come together to support the devotees of the Amarnath Yatra.”
Priya Sethi, in her address, emphasized the importance of the Amarnath Yatra, not only as a religious pilgrimage but also as a symbol of peace and communal harmony. She highlighted the commitment of both the central and the Union Territory (UT) governments to ensuring a safe and incident-free Yatra by implementing a comprehensive security plan to address any potential threats.
“Amarnath Yatra is a reflection of our cultural heritage and unity. It brings people from all walks of life together in the spirit of devotion and harmony. Our primary focus is to ensure that this Yatra is conducted smoothly and safely for all the pilgrims,” said Priya Sethi.
The Langar at Tirupati Temple, Jammu, will provide meals to thousands of pilgrims daily, ensuring that their journey is comfortable and spiritually enriching. The initiative reflects the enduring spirit of community service and religious devotion that defines the Amarnath Yatra.
Members of Jai Amarnath Langar Sewa Samiti who were present include Ranjeet Sharma, President; Kamal Kumar Vice President, Amit Kumar Cashier, Happy Co-cashier, Ajay Kumar General Secretary, Sanjay Sharma Joint Secretary, KD Sharma Secretary, Ravinder Tiku and Rajinder Tiku members.
