Kaffberry hosts star-studded event for ‘Chandu Champion’ film crew

JAMMU: Kaffberry – a premier restaurant of Jammu and Kashmir last evening, in a gala event held here, hosted the entire cast of Bollywood film Chandu Champion including it’s director Kabir Khan, lead actor Kartik Aaryan, Co-producer of the film Rajesh Bhatt and Vivaan Khan, Kabir Khan’s son. Well known Bollywood film promoter Karan Kapoor and his entire team joined by members of Nagpal family, the owners of chain of restaurants and resorts facilitated the event and ensured that Bollywood actors, producers and their entire team gets to witness Jammu’s hospitality.

The entire crew of Chandu Champion right after the promotion event held at Gulshan Ground drive to Kaffberry and were received by Karan Kapoor and his team and led to the main venue where the lead actors and his team were seated to enjoy the ongoing T20 cricket match over lavish dinner. Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan were appreciative of the Jammu’s iconic place and promised to visit the city of temples again to shoot more films and for the promotion of their films.

Fascinated by the hospitality and protocol of Nagpal’s family, the film actor and film director spent almost two hours at the venue and discussed their upcoming projects. Despite being a pure vegetarian restaurant, the guests complimented Karan Kapoor and Nagpals for giving Jammu such a wonderful place and serving them best cuisine and dishes that have been in trend in metro cities alone.

While relishing the multi cuisines, the entire team of Chandu Champion also went around the place, appreciated its ambience, felt honoured by the hospitality of hosts and said that they had a wonderful experience being at a place having great vibe and still great ambience. Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan thanked Karan Kapoor for getting them connected to Nagpal family who according to them played perfect hosts.

They added that this was first ever Bollywood movie that chose Jammu as their best destination to promote film and get connected with people of this beautiful city that’s known as City of Temples. The management of Kaffberry and their experienced chefs hosted over 50 guests of Chandu Champion including notable Bollywood celebrities.

It may be recalled that Chandu Champion has become the first film to announce its advance booking at the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Celebrating the big moment, Kartik also shared some of his experiences as Murlikant Petkar, his main character in the film. During dinner meet, he also mentioned that ‘Chandu Champion’ has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and the film is based on a real-life sportsperson which will be released in cinemas on June 14, 2024. Kartik Aryan had played the ostensible role in the film.

During his stay at Kaffberry Kartik Aaryan also spoke about his massive physical transformation that he underwent for Chandu Champion. He informed that impressed by the life of the living legend Mr Murlikant Petkar, he chose to shun laziness and become a stronger human being besides fitness freak. The director Kabir Khan also revealed how Kartik Aaryan worked hard on himself for the movie and showed massive transformation. Later, Karan Kapoor and his team besides Nagpals expressed their gratitude to the film crew for choosing Jammu as their destination for film promotion.

Earlier in the day, the promotional event was held at Gulshan ground by Ajit Singh, an event director based in Jammu and the founder of Legends Dance and Fitness Studio. The event was well organised in presence of soldiers of Indian army and police personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Lion Dr. Y Kiron – Suchirindia is the Title sponsor while B. R. Shetty, Indian businessman and chairman of Shreyas Media were also present at the event as film promoter.
