JAMMU: Vishal Thappar, top Sabre fencer of J&K, has been selected for Senior Asian Fencing Championship to be held at Kuwait from June 22 to 25.
Vishal’s selection has been made during trials for Senior Asian Championship held at New Delhi. Earlier, Vishal was called for the selection process considering his individual Bronze medal won in the Senior National Fencing Championship.
Serving with Indian Navy as Chief Paty Officer, Vishal presently trains at National Centre of Excellence (NCOE) Patiala in Punjab.
