JAMMU: SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar on Friday has asked the officers on the ground to take a strong actions against the land grabbers and drug peddlers.
SSP Jammu said this while conducting a surprise inspection of Police Station Domana.
During the visit, he was accompanied by SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma and SHO Domana, Insp. Arun Sharma.
During his surprise visit he conducted casual inspection of the police station and checked various registers which are currently being maintained in all the police stations of Jammu District, as part of proactive policing, viz. Drug Addict/Peddler Register, NCR register, Property/ Land Dispute Register, Women Help desk Register, Festival Register and Gangster register etc. All registered were found properly maintained.
Thereafter he was apprised regarding the functioning of the police station and the emerging challenges in dealing with the drug addicts in the area which have become a menace for the society.
He appreciated the entire team for disposing of good number of old pending cases and Inquest proceedings.
He was also apprised regarding the new initiatives taken by Domana team in land disputed cases where proceedings under sections 145 Cr.PC have been initiated in good numbers.
Meanwhile, SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar also conducted inspection of Border Police Post Jogwan. During the visit he was accompanied by SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma-JKPS and SDPO Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Sharma, SHO Khour, Inspector Neeraj Choudhary, Incharge PP Pallanwala and Incharge BPP Jogwan.
SPP held the security review meeting of the area with concerned officers and on spot directions were given to have a joint naka with army in vulnerable areas.
Apart from this brief VDG members to remain extra alert.
Some welfare oriented issues of jawans were also resolved on spot & those pending will be resolved on priority.
