JAMMU: Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India had released INSPIRE Awards 2023 , under Inspire Awards-MANAK Scheme.
The INSPIRE – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), being executed by DST with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST, aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6 to 10.
The objective of the scheme is to target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children. Different reputed schools participated in the aforesaid awards.
Five best students of JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi were nominated for aforesaid award.
Jakiians exhibited different projects like Anti sleep censor, gadgets for rainwater harvesting, Pollution control ideas like car Pooling, ldeas to reduce the disruptive impact of Natural disaster, Solar cell, Solar panel, passcode based locking system in Gas stove. Few projects were based on digital technology-related ideas that could contribute the digital economy. Among all, Pritika Chopra of class 8th brought laurels to school by winning a cash prize of Rs 10000 for presenting the best innovative idea.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah congratulated the Jakiian and motivated her by saying, “Self motivation empowers you to strengthen your confidence and achieve greater heights in life.”
She further commented, “Technology connects us, inspires and amplifies our power.”
She added, “The Government of India is marching ahead to promote Science and technology in the country, to build a nurtured ecosystem by way of promoting research and developing a robust system.”
