Police Hospital Jammu organises blood donation camp

JAMMU: Police Hospital Jammu organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with an NGO namely All J&K Christian Sabha on Good Friday with a slogan “Bleed for Christ, Bleed for Nation at Police Hospital Jammu today from 2.30 pm onwards in which 10 volunteers from civil society participated and donated blood. The event aimed at to gather voluntary blood donations from members/volunteers of a particular organization under the presidentship of Ashu Peter Mattoo who Intended to donate one unit of blood to save the life of police personnel who continue to discharge their legitimate duties against all odds without caring for their personal safety and security.
The event showcased the organized effort of J&K Police along with the Doctors and the staff of the Police Hospital Jammu, in collaboration with blood bank Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu who actively participating in the blood donation camp under the overall supervision of Medical Superintendent, Police Hospital Jammu to make the event a grand success.
Dr. Meenakshi Kotwal expressed gratitude to the volunteers/donors for their contribution towards such a noble cause In the service of nation. At the same time advised them to keep the people across various cross-sections of the society motivated to come forward for such blood donation to save the precious lives of needy people in case of medical emergencies. Towards the conclusion of the event, the certificates of Appreciation were also Distributed among the donors by the Supdt. Police Hospital Jammu to keep their morale high for such future endeavors.
