JAMMU: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh, who is also the party incharge for J&K, conducted a hurricane tour to the two Lok Sabha seats, Jammu and Udhampur, during which he addressed more than 30 meetings with the party workers.
During his two-day trip Chugh addressed meetings for Dr Jugal Kishor, BJP candidate for Jammu, and dr Jitender Singh from Udhampur and mobilised the party cadre at the grassroot level giving them an agenda for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He called upon workers to spread the message of peace and development as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and take it down to the last voter.
J&K, Chugh said, had entered a new era after Article 370 was abrogated by the Modi government.
The ISI sponsered militancy has been curtailed in a big way. The idea of tourism has overtaken terrorism.
Moreover, Chugh said that the family fiefdom of Abdullahs and Muftis and even those of the Gandhi family must be exposed.
Chugh said the achievements under various welfare schemes initiated by the prime minister for the people of J&K must be disseminated widely.
