JAMMU: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla on tuesday convened meeting of prominent office bearers of RS Pura Jammu South and Bahu constituency to discuss poll strategy ahead of forthcoming parliamentary elections.
Bhalla interacted with the district Congress leaders and addressed their concerns. Prominent among those who participated in meeting include JKPCC Vice President Yogesh Sawhney, District President Manmohan Singh Pinka, CWC Member and former NSUI National President Neeraj Kundan, Vice President & Treasurer JKPCC Rajnish Sharma, Vice President Pranav Shagotra, General Secretary Satish Sharma, Gen Secy Amrit Bali, Secy Parveen Singh besides others.
Bhalla, while addressing the meeting, urged the leaders to continue taking steps in the direction to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
He said that the genuine needs of the public should be addressed openly and that they should enable the public to recognise the ruses of the BJP and its divisive policies.
He added that the BJP has failed the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Congress will step in and take charge.
He shamed the BJP government for being incompetent in tackling the economic crisis of the country and ignoring the middle class and poor.
Bhalla said that the BJP has lost the moral right to go to Jammu people after betrayal after betrayal.
Former Minister took a dig at BJP over deceits and a failed government in order to highlight the failures and performance of the Modi Government on various fronts, including economy, foreign policy, communal harmony, inflation, farmers’ income, national security, welfare for the Scheduled castes, Scheduled tribes, and other backward classes.
“It is not BJP but tireless efforts of Congress party that the people of the J&K are on the path of development and prosperity, ” he said.
He said Jammu people are now realizing their mistake committed in 2014 and 2019 as these people who were sent by the voters to raise their voice remained unheard for ten long years.
It is hoped that the people of Jammu will surely correct the past mistake and reject such opportunists and exploiters and show them their place in forthcoming parliamentary elections.
