Atal Dulloo honours KP ‘achievers in exile’ at Lalitaditya’s Cultural Event

JAMMU: In recognition to their contribution in various fields, the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo has honoured the Kashmiri Pandit ‘achievers in exile’ at an impressive, colourful and well attended felicitation function during a Cultural Event, depicting ethos, culture and tradition of KPs at Abhinav Theatre here.
The event, witnessing the mesmerising performances by the artists of Vomedh casting a spell on the audience was organised by Lalitaditya Sports, Education and Health Organisation in association with Vomedh.
Dulloo was the chief guest on the occasion, while former Director General of Police (DGP) and former Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Kuldeep Khoda and Senior Additional Advocate General, Monika Kohli were the Guests of Honour and the special guests included Prof Rattan Lal Hangloo, SSP VK Bhat, Ajey Bharti (former MLC), Dr Agnishekhar, Kiran Wattal, Dr Vinay Thussoo, Basanti Koul, Hira Lal Bhat and Arvind Koul, besides a galaxy of sponsors.
The Chief Secretary said that involving Kashmiri Pandit youth in preserving culture, tradition and rituals, was the need of the hour, adding that the programmes like this served as a launching pad in preserving sanctity and spirit with regard to preserving culture and ethos.
While lavishing praise on Lalitaditya Organisation for holding the programme in a most befitting manner, the Chief Secretary said the heads of such Organisations served as beacon-lights to guide and goad the community youth in the grim atmosphere of exile.
Earlier, Anil Bhat, President of Lalitaditya Sports, Education and Health Organisation presented a welcome address and highlighted the activities and achievements of the Organisation.
He said the Organisation was leaving no stone unturned in providing platform to sportspersons and artists of the KP community to showcase their sporting and acting skills at the higher levels.
While throwing light on the objective of organising the event, Anil said that the motive of the programme was to honour the achievers of the community in exile in recognition of their contribution in various fields and also felicitate the icon of KP community, Atal Dulloo on his elevation as the Chief Secretary.
On the occasion, the artists of ‘Vomedh’ presented mesmerising cultural performances and plays to cast spell on the audience.
The achievers of the community in exile who were honoured by the Chief Guest for their outstanding contribution in various fields included Rajesh Dhar and Ashish Kachroo for being the brainchild of Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL); Rohit Bhat for his contribution in the field of art, culture and theatre; Deepak Raina for being the architect of Legends League Cricket in Jammu; Kirti Dhar for her valuable contribution as the first women sports journalist in J&K; Ashutosh Pandit for his unvawering commitment to serve needy; Ajay Pandita for his impactful contribution to serve the youth of the community; Vinod Pandita for his relentless fight for the restoration of demolished temples and shrines; Dr Meenakshi Kilam for her outstanding contribution in the educational field and Dr Samita Bhat for her immense work in the field of health and well being, besides a galaxy of sponsors including Hotel Ch2 and Real FC Kashmir, Alcobrew, Prem Motors, Jai Raj Studio, VR Events, AK Sports, Viraj & Dutta Company, PMC International, Avero Furniture, Ishan Filling Station, Microcomp Solutions, Asha Dhar Foundation, Sharika & Swastiya Medicos and NN Dhar Foundation.
The heroes of KPPL organising team who were also felicitated on the occasion included Ritik Jotshi, Shivam Koul, Chetan Shah, Sahil Sharma, Ritesh, Rajat Kanth, Rahul Reshi and Rahul Koul.
For serving the community cause and providing a platform to the KP youth Deepak Bhan, Dr Neeru Kharu, Ramesh Razdan, Tito Ganjoo, Vijay Kr Kaul and Kuldeep Raina were also felicitated by the Organisation on the occasion.
The Event was organised by Lalitaditya Team including Anil Bhat (President), Ashish Kachroo (Vice President), Vinay Koul (General Secretary), Anil Bhushan (Treasurer), Deepak Raina (Media Advisor), Executive Members–SSP P.N. Tickoo and Ankur Bagati, besides Rohit Bhat and Rajesh Dhar.
