RAJOURI: Winter Volleyball Cup, organised by the local youth began at Sports Stadium, here on Wednesday under the banner of Rajouri District Volleyball Association.
The event, which is being held under the theme of ‘Say No to drugs’, was inaugurated by the chief guest, Retired ZEO Abdul Majeed in presence of Guests of Honour, Veteran volleyball player Anand Kumar and Dr Mushtaq Choudhary.
A total of eight teams are taking part in this event, as informed by Organising Secretary, Yasir shabir.
The Results: Hindustan Petroleum Volleyball Club beat Nowshera Volleyball Club 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-15); Khan Volleyball Manjakote beat Dangri 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-11); Asan Volleyball beat Stadium by 2-1.
The semis and final shall be played tomorrow.
Other present were Sajjad Majeed, Aquib Ahmed, Zaheer Khan, Abdul Qader and Rameez Mughal.
