POONCH: Shaheed Mumtaz Memorial Volleyball Club beat Kalai Club in straight 3-0 sets (25-12, 25-5, 25-22) in the final and lifted the trophy of Shaheed Mumtaz Memorial Volleyball Tournament organised by Shaheed Mumtaz Club Chandak in which eight teams from the district participated.
In the closing ceremony, DDC Chairperson Tazeem Akhter was the Chief Guest, who appreciated the efforts of club and presented trophy to winner team. Mohd Qasim DYSSO Poonch and Mohd Tariq Chairman Shahed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club were the Guests of Honour. Mohd Tariq asked the youth to avoid the bad habits particularly drugs. Others present were Mohinder Kumar Principal of institution, Jatinder Singh Tandon ZPEO, Mohd Iqbal former volleyball player and Narinder Singh. Mumtaz Fuji and Emran played extraordinary game for the winning team. Today’s match was officiated by Ajaz Ahmed, Fahim Khan and Aurangzeb Khan.
