JAMMU: Air Force Station Jammu shall meet Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar and MBS Club Simbal Camp to face Srinagar Xl in the semifinal matches of the ongoing 7th Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey tournament, organised by Kashmir Sikh Sangat under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, here tomorrow.
Earlier in today’s first match, Dashmesh Hockey Club Nanak Nagar outplayed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Club Poonch by four goals to three 4-3 via penalty shootouts. Kunal (Goalkeeper) from Deshmesh Hockey Club was declared Man of the Match of the outstanding performance and was awarded by the chief guest of the match, Prof. Inder Singh and Guest of Honour, Popinder Singh from KSS.
In another match, Srinagar XI defeated Hiranagar Hockey Club Kathua by six goals to one. Rohanpreet Singh of Srinagar XI was adjudged as Man of the Match and was awarded by the chief guest, Teeraj Singh and Guest of Honour, Ajinderpal Singh.
Others present on the occasion were Karamjit Singh President KSS, Tejpal Singh Mehta, Dr. Dhanwant Singh, K.N Singh, Suraj Singh, Popinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Inderjit Singh, Surjit Singh Bali and Advocate Manmohit Singh Khalon.
Officials of Hockey J&K present were GS Bakshi, Rajinder Singh (Former President Hockey India), Rajinder Koul (Senior Vice President Hockey J&K), Daljit Singh (Executive Member Hockey J&K), Ishan Sharma (Treasurer Hockey J&K) and Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi (General Secretary Hockey J&K)
Technical panel consist of Joginder Singh, Jagjit Singh, Harmanan Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Nazarat Hussain, Sahil Kumar and R.P Sarna.
