JAMMU: A 18-member squad of J&K UT Senior National Men Hockey Team was announced at KK Hakku Stadium here on Monday which is going to participate in 13th Hockey India Senior National Championship schedule to be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu from November 17 to 28, 2023. Screening of the hockey team was completed today in KK Hakku Hockey Stadium in presence of Divisional Sports Officer, other officials of Sports Council along with all members of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir.
Uniforms sponsored by Sports Council were also distributed to the team and Hockey Jammu and Kashmir distributed high quality Alfa hockey sticks to the players which are sponsored by Hockey India. All the players and members of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir expressed thank to the Secretary Sports Council for sponsoring this event for the promotion and betterment of this game in JKUT. Prior to this, trials were held in Jammu as well as in Kashmir in which players of various districts participated which was followed by coaching camp.
Team will depart from Jammu to participate in event on November 16, 2023 for Chennai. J&K is going to play first match against Manipur on November 20.
