CJ HC J&K, Ladakh advocates of banning plastic in High Court premises

JAMMU: As a sequel to nationwide campaign “Swachhata Hi Seva” today under the directions of Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, N. Kotiswar Singh, a massive Swachhata Abhiyan was carried out in both the wings of High Court of J&K and Ladakh and all the District Courts of UTs of J&K and Ladakh, in which the Judicial Officers, Staff members, Security Personals, outsource workers and PLVs participated with full enthusiasm and voluntarily cleaned the Court premises from within and outside by devoting one hour Shram Daan. At High Court wing Srinagar the drive was led by Shahzad Azeem, Registrar General while as at Jammu the same was spearheaded by Sobha Ram Gandhi, Registrar Judicial, Jammu wing. Different teams were formed in Jammu wing which were headed by Registry Officers and the campaign started from the main building Jammu wing and the teams bifurcated in different directions and while cleaning the premises converged at the main gate of the District Court complex, Jammu. While talking to the media persons the heads of the teams besides spreading message of importance of cleanliness in day to day life urged those who visit the Court complex either to attend their cases or otherwise should ensure that no plastic is used within the High Court premises and also appealed them to help the Registry and staff in maintaining the cleanliness in and around the High Court complex which would enhance the efficiency in working and keeping the diseases. On the occasion everyone took pledge to clean their physical surroundings but also the inner conscience and to behave in the society as a good human beings. Tasleem Arief, Registar Vigilance, Rajinder Sapru, Registrar Rules, Amit Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, JKLSA, Anoop Kumar, Registrar (IT), Faqoor Ahmad Bhat, Registrar Judicial, Srinagar wing, Prem Sagar, Secretary, HCLSA, Pravin Pandoh, Joint Registrar Judicial, Jammu wing and Abdul Bari, Joint Registrar Judicial, Srinagar wing, also contributed in the cleanliness drive. The event ended with serving of light refreshment to the participants and thanking them for their participation that would influence the masses towards cleanliness.
