RPHQ Jammu conducts drug awareness campaign under CAP

JAMMU: Continue to drive against drug menace campaign, Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) , Jammu on Saturday conducted an ambitious drug awareness campaign aimed at fostering a drug free community.
The programme was conducted at Sainik Cooperative Public School, Sainik Colony Jammu under Civic Action Programme (CAP) under the command of DIG Jammu-Samba- Kathua Range Shakti Kumar Pathak.
Staff and Students of School and civil society members of the surrounding area witnessed the event.
Programme started with the welcome of Chief Guest Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP, SO to DIG Jammu and Guest of Honour SP South Shaheen Wahid.
Katoch said that RPHQ Jammu is going to organising such programme in the jurisdiction of each Police Station of Jammu, Samba and Kathua District. He also said that beside studies student also should take part in the sports, cultural activities and stay away from the drugs and negative forces.
Shaheen Wahid and Dr. Shehnaz Bhat Incharge Drug De addiction Centre Jammu, explained the types and ill/bad effects of the drugs and insisted students to stay away from the drugs and excess use of social media.
Students of the school also delivered an essay on bad effects of the drugs.
PSI Heena Bashir of PS Channi Himmat handled the dice in programme.
DySP RPHQ Raman Kumar, SHO Channi Himmat Neeraj Choudhary, Inspector RPHQ Anjoo Pandita, ICPP Sainik Colony PSI Bhawani Singh and Team members CAP RPHQ, Jammu, also present in the programme.
Pledge was taken by all the students, staff of the school, dignitaries, civil society members, general public and all the employees of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
