RAJOURI: Haricane Club Bagnoti on Thursday lifted the District Rajouri Volleyball Championship which was organised by District Rajouri Volleyball Association under the banner of Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) at Sports Stadium, here.
In the final, Haricane defeated Darhal Club 3-1 (25-27, 25-23, 25-21, 25-19). Sachin Raina and Jamrood Singh played brilliant game for the winning team while Tosif Ahmed defended well from Darhal.
In the valedictory of the event, District Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) officer, Sunil Singh Samyal was chief guest, who presented the title trophies and other individual prizes.
The organising team was led by Mohd Tariq. Among others present were Mohd Hanif Khan (Retd.ZPEO), Shabir Ahmed (Supervisor Sports stadium Rajouri), Khalid Hussain, Dr.Asan Qureshi and Surjeet Singh (social activist).
The technical panel comprised Shabir Ahmed, Jameel Ahmed, Sajjad Majid, Farhat Khan and Azhar Shah.
