SAMBA: MV International School, in association with Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu celebrated Hindi Diwas with great fervour and enthusiasm.
The event showcased a range of creative competitions including self-made poetry, slogan writing competition and one-act plays, all centered around the themes of ‘Advancing towards Progress’ and ‘One World -One Family’.
One-act play competition also focused on paying tribute to the freedom fighters.
Distinguished guests who graced the occasion included Dr. Chanchal Dogra, Ex-Principal of Govt. MAM College Jammu; Prof. Kiran Bakshi, Story Writer and Ex-Principal of Govt. Women College Parade Jammu; Rajneesh Kumar Gupta, Playwright, Story Writer and Income Tax Officer Jammu; Tarun Charak, Stage Artist, along with Chairman of the school Hira Lal Abrol and Principal, Kundan Lal Dogra.
The students from classes 8th & 9th exhibited their emotions, creativity, and originality through self-made poems that resonated with the themes.
In the one-act play competition, students delivered outstanding stage presentations that were deeply rooted in the theme that was characterised with finesse.
The slogan writing competition witnessed impressive creations, where students beautifully illustrated slogans in line with the themes. The winners of the competition were: First Prizes were won by Aarav Chandel (9C) in Poetry; Rithika Bhagat (9C) in One-Act Play & Anjali Sharma (9A) in Slogan Writing.
The trophies for the second prizes were lifted by Rushil Gupta (9C) in Poetry; Akshit Slathia (9A) in One-Act Play & Mehak Attri (9B) in Slogan Writing; whereas the third prizes were clinched by Abhishek Sharma (9C) in Poetry; Samriti Gupta (9C) in One-Act Play & Tahira Choudhary (8B) in Slogan Writing Competition.
The event not only celebrated rich heritage of the Hindi language but also showcased incredible talents and creativity of the students at MV International School. It was a day filled with artistic expressions and a sense of unity through language.
