JAMMU: Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the tiny-tots of JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi.
Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations while dancing to the beats of Janmashtami songs and filling the air with joy and festive spirit.
The students truly communicated the message that “Every moment of life is worth a celebration. The more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”
The Jhanki of Krishna with the peacock wing at the top made hearts of the audience beat with joy and ecstasy. Images of Krishna’s infancy were placed in a cradle. A Puja was performed by the staff and children of the school. Fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of burning camphor and jingle of the bells filled the air. A small skit, signifying Janmashtami’s message of encouraging good deeds and discouraging bad deeds, was shown to kids.
It was a beautiful presentation with joyous melody and twirling dancers.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah wished Happy Janamashtami to one and all.
She highlighted the significance of this blissful occasion and emphasized on the relevance of Lord Krishna’s teachings. “Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu,” she said.
She also advised students to spread love and live in the moment wholeheartedly.
