POONCH: Kohli Thunders emerged winner of the Volleyball Tournament which was organised by Indian Army at Gulpur here involving young local teams.
In the final, Kohli Thunders trounced Khari Stars in a closely contested game witnessed by a healthy crowd of volleyball lovers from the surrounding villages.
There were 16 participating teams in this event which played on knock-out basis.
The Sarpanch and elders of the villages expressed their gratitude towards the Army in its endeavours to motivate the youth of the region and bring in bonhomie.
During the prize distribution ceremony, trophies were presented to the winner and runners-up teams by the senior army officers.
