Mayor inaugurates construction two bridges at lower Gadigarh

JAMMU: Mayor of Jammu city, Rajinder Sharma on Friday inaugurated the construction two bridges at lower Gadigarh area near SDM office in the outskirts of the city.
The bridges shall be completed with budgets of Rs. 1.43 crore and 1.47 crore.
These bridges were very old and were in bad shape and needed reconstruction due to which people faced lot of problems while moving through these bridges.
People raised lot of voice in this regard but nothing was done in the last two years.
Only when the Mayor visited the place two months back he took cognisance of the problem and initiated the process under which the construction work of the bridges has started today.
BJP National General Secretary, Narinder Singh, former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta,Dy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, District President Rekha Mahajan, Mandal President Vijay Sharma and prominent persons of the area were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that it is now very clear that all the developmental works on ground are being done by BJP.
“Since the Urban Local Body has been elected works like making of roads, bridges, lanes and drains etc are being done by BJP lead Urban Local Body of JMC,” he said adding: “What was earlier spent on all the 75 Wards of JMC is now spent on single Ward for developmental activities.”
Mayor Sharma also said that it was BJP which helped in COVID-19 pandemic by vaccinating public, making their Ayushman Cards, Aadhaar Cards, Domicile Certificates and providing them ration and other help apart from accomplishing developmental works as duty.
Speaking on the occasion BJP National Secretary, Narinder Singh said on August 15, 2018 PM Modi had announced for the strengthening of local bodies from Red Fort and some political parties have opposed it that time.
“Now, after witnessing the developments, the public should decide if those political parties were against developments or not,” he said.
Former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta said that BJP is determined to develop each and every corner of J&K under the popular slogan of PM Modi, Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas.
BJP Mandal Vice President, B.R Sharma, Inder Khajuria, Rajat Sharma, General Secretary, Pushkar Sharma, Suraj Parkash Bakshi, Secretary, Sunita Sharma, ex-Panch, Col. Rajesh Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Raju Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
